Jose Antonio Garcia Dillane

I was born in the Vera Jaraíz 22 May 1947.

I sign my works as JOAN GARDI (first letters of my name and surname)

Ever since very young, my great entertainment was drawing and painting, everything about me as embodied with pencils and charcoal.

In schooling, with the master Don Eutiquiano Barroso, superb draftsman, with China ink techniques, Watercolours, Guachs, Tempera and Pastel, paint murals for different classes. From him I learned the tonal values, the illusion of depth, leaving the work to reach the limit of its possibilities and the basics of framing and composition.

My first brush with oil, was next to Jaime García Sánchez (Jaime de Jaraíz) parent friends of mine and also neighbors my maternal grandmother. Since then and do not let my love of painting with the king of paint, oil.

Of the 60, I attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, as a free student in the Preparatory Workshops Drawing Painting and Color, easily surpassing.

Since then I decide to teach yourself, my school have been museums, exhibitions, seminars and all that my curiosity about art and teachers Sorolla, Renoir, Degas, and Manet wanted and could learn.

Exposures because I never did a bad experience that occurred in 1964 as a collective in which it participates. Since then try to always have some works in galleries.

1968 in an event in Barcelona, won a scholarship to train as impressionistic in Paris, which I could do about having to join the then obliged Service Military.

The styles in which I develop and evolve painting are Impressionism, Expressionism and Realism, seeking always in my compositions, the degree of brightness and opacity of representation in the design are color and more natural way model, all in different media and techniques of Oil.

My work is scattered around homes and private collections in Catalonia, Madrid, Cáceres, Badajoz, Toledo, Cordoba, Paris, Lisbon and in the family collection.

Accredited since 2004 by the International Archive of Works of Art Central (AICO), as the author guaranteed.

Today with 62 years in my second adolescence, the same illusion, with my theme glazes, being nice to the motivations of color, light drawing, watching and being inquisitive, I illustrate, and try to make my work summit.
